During COVID-19, evictions were recognized as a public health issue, leading to eviction bans across Canada. However, research on evictions in Canada remains limited. This study analyzes data from the 2018 Community Housing Survey to estimate eviction rates over the preceding five years, examining demographic and regional patterns. Renters are classified as evicted if their most recent move was forced from a rental property.
