The Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA) is the first Indigenous Housing Authority in Canada and was created for the Indigenous community by the Indigenous community. 

AHMA works in direct partnership with the Province of BC and is the leading voice in advocating for Indigenous people and also manages the operating contracts for the new projects developed under the Indigenous Housing Fund. 

Celeste Hayward is the Director of Operations at the Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA). She leads AHMA’s housing operations, policy, and revitalization initiatives, supporting a province-wide network of Indigenous housing providers. Celeste is committed to ensuring that operations run smoothly for AHMA’s membership while championing public policies that promote safe, quality, and affordable housing for Indigenous Peoples.
